Three Ways School is a Good (Ofsted 2022) Academy, operating as a generic Special School situated in the Georgian City of Bath.
The school provides for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs. The School is divided into 3 departments; Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form, to enable curriculum delivery and expectations that are age appropriate to all pupils. The school is a Specialist School for Physical and Sensory.

It is also a School of Creativity. We offer the full National Curriculum as a basis for curriculum development and add to this a wide range of additional activities for personal and social growth.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to teach either in our Primary/Secondary or 6^th Form departments (negotiable dependent on applicant skill set) to support our pupils who have a range of complex special educational needs.

We would welcome applications from teachers who have experience or a passion for SEN or teachers from mainstream schools who have the capacity to develop their skills; or from teachers who are commencing their Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction phase.

The successful candidates will:

• be experienced in SEN practices and provision with extensive knowledge of how to meet the needs of pupils with SEN

• have a great deal of enthusiasm and can motivate and inspire all pupils to learn

• have excellent communication skills

• have an interest in teaching a range of subjects.

We are looking to expand our bank of Supply Teaching Assistants.

Supply Teaching Assistants will work on a casual supply basis to cover for staff absences, and may be called at short-notice. You will be adaptable, confident and preferably have experience of working in a school with pupils with special educational needs although training and full induction is given. Supply Teaching Assistants will be paid on hourly rate of approx. £11.18 per hour for the actual hours worked. We are ideally looking for people who are able to cover from 8.30am to 3.30pm and who could come in to cover absence if called from 7.30am.

This post will require the successful candidate to have an enhanced DBS Check.

For your DBS you will need to bring with you three items of documentary evidence of identity, e.g. driving licence, passport, birth certificate and a utility bill or bank statement less than three months old. Also bring evidence of National Insurance number (payslip may contain it). We will also require evidence of the qualifications you hold Please bring in your original qualification certificates. These documents must be originals - please hand to the office for copying the day of Interview.

We cannot guarantee a set amount of cover per week, although in general those on the supply list have been utilised on a regular basis.

Please note, the employment process for supply staff can take 6 – 8 weeks.
