Head Teacher
Jo is the Head Teacher of Three Ways School. She has worked in Special Needs Education for the last twenty five years. Jo is on the Executive Team for the South West Area Leaders in Special Schools (SWALSS), to share best practice and collaborate with other local and national Special Schools. Jo represents the South West as part of the Medicine in Special Schools national group. She is currently working for the Department for Education for a day a week as a RISE Advisor, supporting Special Schools across the South West with School Improvement. Jo is the Chair of the BANES Schools Forum and attends the Bath Education Partnership meetings termly to organise area wide events across all Bath State and Independent Secondary Schools - bringing our local community together. Jo represents Three Ways School on the Local Area Partnership which combines Health, Education and Social Care services and other council and third sector teams to ensure positive and proactive locality partnership. Jo attends the BANES Schools Standards Board working with all local authority schools, Multi-Academy Trusts and Single Academy Trusts to ensure an area wide joint approach to achieving high standards for all pupils. Jo works closely with the Integrated Care Board, HCRG Care Group local health provider services and Oxford Health CAMHS service to ensure an embedded whole school approach to Multi-Agency Partnership.
Jo is currently working with BANES local authority and the Department of Education on a new special school build for the Bath area (previous Culverhay School Site) and also applying for a new special school in the Keynsham area to proactively support local area SEND capacity and place planning. Three Ways Single Academy Trust secured the bid for the Bath Special School and are currently working under a Memorandum of Understanding with Enable Multi-Academy Trust.

Deputy Head Teacher
Katie has been part of Three Ways School since 2015 and is the Deputy Head Teacher, as well as co‑Head Teacher one day per week. She is an experienced senior leader and qualified Ofsted Team Inspector with a specialism in SEND.
Katie has taught across all key stages from EYFS to Post‑16 in mainstream, Alternative Provision, SEMH settings and specialist education. She leads on safeguarding as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and is responsible for the day‑to‑day operational management of the school, working closely with multi‑agency teams and families to ensure a strong culture of safety and support.
Katie has played a key role in developing the school’s curriculum, assessment pathways and preparation‑for‑adulthood offer. She is committed to delivering meaningful, ambitious learning experiences that meet the needs of pupils with complex SEND. Her work also includes coaching staff, strengthening teaching and learning, and leading whole‑school improvement.
Katie works closely with health, social care and community partners to embed integrated support for pupils and families. She also contributes to strategic planning and workforce development across the Trust. Currently, she is part of the development team for two new special school projects in Bath and Keynsham, supporting local SEND sufficiency and future place planning.
